As a trial consultant, Dr. Nelson wrote A Winning Case (Prentice Hall, 1991) and Connecting With Your Client
(American Bar Association, 1996). She also writes a regular column on trial techniques for the Los Angeles Daily
Journal. Dr. Nelson applied her trial persuasion methods to business and personal settings in Winning! (1997,
Prentice Hall; Get Your Way, paperback edition, 1998).
Dr. Nelson has appeared on national television shows including: CBS' "The Early Show," ABC's "The View,"
"Montel Williams Show," CNN, E! Entertainment Network and numerous local news stations. She has also been
interviewed, quoted and/or written about in publications including People, Cosmo, Mademoiselle, Allure, Glamour,
Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc., Investor's Business Daily and the Los Angeles Times. She has been a guest host on
KOMO/Seattle, a guest co-host on KRLA/Los Angeles, and has been interviewed on both local and national radio
stations including NPR. Her syndicated "The Problem Solution Lady" 90-second radio program is heard on radio
stations around the country and heard around the world on Armed Forces Network News.
Dr. Nelson holds advanced degrees in clinical psychology from the United States International University
(M.A., Ph.D.), and sociology degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles (B.A.) and the Sorbonne,
Paris (Maitrise, Doctorat 3eme Cycle). She is a licensed clinical psychologist.
